Summer Outreach
During the summer at St. Paul’s we focus on supporting our outreach ministries. During June, July, and August, St. Paul’s highlights a project that reaches out to support our neighbors in Alexandria and our neighbors around the world. Be on the lookout for information about how you can help in the Outreach email each month.
In reality, our Renk Diocese is in the border between South Sudan and Sudan. When the war broke out in Sudan in the year 2023, the people of Renk have been suffered the most because the influx of South Sudanese returnees from Sudan and Sudanese refugees to South Sudan have affected the communities in the region, as well as our ECSS churches. As we know that many people seeing the church as a best place to sustained and survive their live.
Now, more than ever, donations from St. Paul’s will help sustain the children and families in the Diocese of Renk.Among the needs laid out by Bishop Simon in his letter are funds to support education. With the large influx of refugees and returnees and the lack of response from many international organizations the situation is dire.
We are once again asking for contributions for scholarships to the Renk Basic School. For a yearly tuition of $400 boys and girls receive uniforms, books, and meals. But, most importantly, these students receive a life changing education. Please consider a donation of any amount.
Bishop Simon closes his letter with these words-
We thank you for sharing this pain with us and it is our hope that, your Prayers will stop this unrest situation in our country. May God bless you and give you good health with your families.
